India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has introduced the Jammer Anti- UAV (JAU) system, a sophisticated counter-drone technology aimed at neutralizing UAV threats by disrupting their command and control links and navigation systems. The JAU can spoof GNSS signals, forcing drones to crash or return to base, making it a versatile asset for India’s border security, especially along the Line of Control with Pakistan. By effectively targeting RF links and employing advanced jamming techniques, the JAU enhances India’s defense capabilities against adversarial UAVs, offering a non- kinetic method to recover valuable intelligence without destruction. This development underscores India’s commitment to innovative defense solutions amidst evolving security challenges.
