India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is advancing the Zorawar Light Tank, currently a 25-ton model, with plans for a scalable 32-ton variant to enhance firepower and adaptability, particularly against regional threats like China’s upgraded Type 15 tank. The Zorawar is designed for high-altitude warfare and features a 105mm turret, with potential upgrades to a 120mm turret and 800hp engine. The Indian Army’s initial order includes 354 light tanks, with 59 units in production, and the 32-ton variant could incorporate advanced systems like active protection and drone integration.
