Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd has signed a significant contract with Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler and Reederei GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, for the construction of the 7th and 8th Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPVs), reinforcing India’s “Make in India, Make for World” initiative. This contract is valued at approximately 108 million USD, with each vessel designed to carry 7,500 DWT, accommodating diverse cargo including large windmill blades. The deal underscores GRSE’s expanding global footprint and commitment to advanced maritime capabilities, enhancing India’s defense and commercial shipping sectors while fostering international partnerships.
