Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd. Recent suссesses in exporting nearly 100 guns and a partnership with U.S. defence contractor AM General demonstrate KSSL’s capabilities. However, the company awaits a significant order from the Indian Army for its Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS), despite meeting all operational requirements. The slow pace of artillery inductions post-Galwan highlights the need for prioritizing indigenous systems, which align with India’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative and address current defence needs effectively.
