India is advancing its aerial surveillance capabilities by pursuing a fleet of advanced spy planes, with L3Harris Technologies and Thales as leading contenders to equip these platforms. This initiative, driven by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force, aims to enhance signals intelligence and communications jamming capabilities in response to rising threats, particularly from China’s advanced ISR platforms.
