In December 2022, gunners from the 23rd Battalion, Singapore Artillery (23 SA), 24th Battalion, Singapore Artillery (24 SA), Headquarters Singapore Artillery (HQ SA) and Artillery Institute were at the Devlali Field Firing Range in India for Exercise Agni Warrior (XAW). The main highlights were the bilateral exercise with the Indian Army, live firing of their 155mm Singapore Light Weight Howitzer (SLWH) Pegasus and the Field Artillery Training Evaluation Programme (FATEP) for 23 SA, a three-day exercise aimed to evaluate our gunners’ operational readiness. Since its inception in 2004, XAW has been a testament of the long-standing defence relationship between the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Indian Army.
