Lockheed Martin has committed to delivering all remaining MH-60R Seahawk helicopters to the Indian Navy by the end of 2026, with ten already operational and the full order of 24 being completed a year ahead of schedule. Valued at approximately $2.6 billion, this procurement enhances India’s maritime defense capabilities, particularly in anti-submarine and anti- surface warfare, and search-and-rescue missions. The advanced features of these helicopters, including multi- mode radar and missile deployment capabilities, will significantly bolster the Navy’s operational prowess in the strategically critical Indian Оcean Region, marking a vital step in modernizing India’s naval fleet and strengthening defense ties with the United States.
