Avantel Limited has secured an Rs. 11.37 crores contract with Goa Shipyard Limited to equip the Indian Navy’s new NGOPV ships with advanced satellite communication (Satcom) solutions, reinforcing India’s commitment to self-reliance in defense. This initiative supports the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat campaigns, enhancing communication infrastructure essential for maritime security. With project execution planned between February 2026 and March 2027, Avantel aims to bolster operational efficiency and surveillance capabilities at sea, reflecting its expertise in satellite communications and defense electronics. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing India’s maritime defense capabilities while fostering growth in the domestic defense industry.
